"These are my words the song I sing, not with my voice, it's with words that I bring. A part of my life, some of what I believe, a partial glimpse of the one called me."

There was a woman and we were talking about something which we had seen or done on the computer. We were standing in a doorway of a long white hallway.
All of a sudden, someone came up to us and started talking. At first, I could not understand full what she was saying until she made it clear.
She owned the computer which me and the other lady and other people were using and she was going to sell it. I could not believe what I was hearing and asked her why was she doing this. She said someone had made her a real good cash offer and it was too good to turn down. I was angry and hurt. Everything about this place I was at was awful except my being able to use her computer. I then thought, maybe it is because she is going to buy a new one and she will let all of us use it. I asked her if she was going to get a new computer and she told me, no. She said she no longer used the computer herself and the cash offer for it was too great to turn down. She then turned and went walking down one of the many hallways I was now seeing.
I went down a few doors and went into a room where my son was living. There was no one in the room. There was a large picture window which had some artificial flowers all along the floor beneath the window. I walked over to the window and was looking down from the window when I caught a movement in the corner of my eye. I saw a beetle-type bug with claw pinchers on its head. It was crawling up from the fake flowers and climbing up the window. I was wondering why a bug would be coming from artificial flowers and the next thing I knew, there was another bug. I stopped looking outside of the window and looked at the bugs. Soon there were more and I counted six of them. I did not know if the bugs could poison a person or not if they bit them so I went looking for help. There were so very many hallways and yet it was so quiet and no one was walking in the halls. I finally saw someone coming out of a room and I called to her. I told her about the bugs which I had seen. She told me she knew about the bugs and she had already called an exterminator.
The next thing I knew I was watching someone who was cooking some food in a large pot. There were some long bones showing at the edge of the pot and I did not know what kind of meat it was. Some tomatoes, rice and spices were added to the pot and it was all stirred together.
I was now in a huge dining area and many people were sitting on benches at long tables. Everyone had a bowl in front of them and they were eating something with a piece of bread.
I did not want to eat anything at this place and I started thinking about all of these people. I could not figure where they all came from or how I came to be with them.
I was looking around me and all of a sudden, I was not sure any longer what was true and what was not real. There had been too many empty blanks recently. I wondered if I should feel fear or anger but my emotions seemed to be dead. It was like I had been drained of the blood from my body.
I left the dining area and started walking down one of the halls.
I saw a young man being put into a bed in one of the rooms. I walked over to the door and I heard the lady say to me to watch out and see if I found any money. She was putting clothes into drawers and talking. She said her son insisted on giving a big tip to someone and she did not want him to do it. I saw the cart where she was getting the clothes from and there on the top of the cart was a couple of dollars. She saw the money and grabbed it and stuck it into her pocket. She said her son did not need any cash at this place. I was wondering why she was taking it if it belonged to her son.
I was finding this place to be sort of crazy and I could not figure how I came to be here.
I went back out in the hall and started walking.
It seemed there were so many halls and every place one ended, another would begin.
It was a place which was so very quiet and huge.
I no longer knew which way to go and realized it did not matter because everything looked the same.
I woke up.
Deck of Cards

Life with men is like a deck of cards...
You need a heart to love them,
a diamond to marry them,
a club to beat them,
and a spade to bury them.

Twinkling stars above
West meeting East
Indicating sun replacement
Lacing lovers joined
In holy matrimony
Giving vows solemnly
Hearts joining together
Tonight chosen hour
Twilight finally arrived
Here is unification
Grabbing without measure
In all times
Learning and believing
Intimacy would bond
While growing together
Treasuring each other.

Usually, I do not dream and I was like awake while I was asleep last night. There in a two story house, I was trying to study in a medical book which made me think of Webster`s dictionary. I was told to study a certain portion in the book but when I turned to where that information was located, I found about a dozen pages had been stapled together and I could not turn the pages or see what it was telling about the heart. On each side of me was a child. One a grown daughter, who was now little and a grandson, who spoke like an educated man. The daughter was asking me questions about the book which I had on a low table in front of us and the grandson was answering her questions as I looked at the two of them. All of a sudden, I heard screaming and I went to the open window which was nearby. I could see woods in the distance and coming out of the woods was a swirling, rushing red river of water. I could see no other houses or people outside the window but the cries of terror sounded close and as I turned my head, I saw the two children looking at me. It was as if they wanted me to tell them everything was going to be OK and I knew there was no way we could get away from the raging flood. At first, I felt a sense of hopelessness and even, some fear, as I thought of what I needed to say to the two children. I looked once more out at the rising waters and then closed the open window. I went to where the children were still sitting and sat down beside them. I reached over to a bookcase and chose a fairytale book which they loved for me to read to them. I opened the book and pointed out the pretty pictures painted on the pages. The screams from outside was no longer heard as I started telling them the story which had been told so many times through the ages. I wondered for a while how long it would take for the waters to reach the place we were at and also how would I handle the fear of the children as well as the fear which I knew I would have because I knew we were not going to live. I really had mixed emotions as I kept reading. It was a feeling of fear and peace at the same time.
I woke up!
Love
Posted by Maggie on Thursday, February 19, 2009 | No Comments
Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.--Rainer Maria Rilke
For a relationship to be healthy and fulfilling, each of us must respect the other. "Two solitudes" is exactly what we are, and we will never be one, no matter how close we become. It may feel like that at times, but we always remain separate persons with our own thoughts, feelings, dreams, and interests.
When we love one another, we allow each other to be who we are, to have our own lives, for it is out of those separate lives that we bring strength and energy and life into our relationships.
We are meant to honor the differences between us. Often these differences lead to squabbles, but when we recognize that each of us is necessary to the union we have created, we create a better one, far superior to the sum of its parts.

This is America
Called the U. S. A.
Where the poor always work
So, the rich can play
In a political gold mine
Where the minorities toil
Or die in the military
Protecting the rich oil
Flowing in the deep pockets
Under the table
Ordered by leaders
Who act completely unstable
Sending the downtrodden
Off to fight their war
Because, all of the wealthy
Want more and more.

Vivid images embed in minds
Alluding to tender touches
Linger long afterward
Eager sweet encounter
Nourishment for hearts
Toe tingling moments
Imaginations run wild
Needing fulfillment
Each drink the passion
,
Sipping the wine of love
Daring to be bold
Always and forever
Yesterday is today

Blue Light Special

Blue Light Special
Dry pain drops
Fill a thirsty soul
Leaving more emptiness
Than one can hold
Deluges of matter
Down mind slides
Falling into memories
Time only hides
Illusions and names
Once very clear
Replaced in present
Mastered by fear
As comfort supersedes
Excuses never stops
While thirsty soul fills
With dry pain drops.

Nine - Lies
Speaking as a cat
Know it is not true
The tale of having nine lives
Believed by me and you
As a little kitten
I was happy to be alive
Knowing if faced with danger
For nine lives I would survive
So, one night I went drinking
As some cats are prone to do
All of my lives completely left me
And my drinks were only two.

Traveling down one road
In memories of the mind
Over mountains and into valleys
Down paths of every kind
Seeing reality and fantasies
Which lurks in every place
Hard to tell them apart
Never shows in any face
When dealing with existence
One always has to choose
Willing to accept the outcome
Whether it is win or lose
Because there are no rules
And that can be a shame
Unless one understands this life
Is really only a simple game
Entertaining a person`s mind
While traveling down this road
Giving some distractions
While you carry a heavy load
Allowing the mind to wander
Into many games of pretend
Which gives a bit of joy
Until life`s game does end.
Moving Moments - Prompt 50

When, she wondered
When would it be
Some signal of a life
Pushing to be free
From the close confines
All snuggled warm inside
Changes were plainly visible
Worn with great pride
Being hardly able to contain excitement
When movements jumped from within
Letting her know without a doubt
A new chapter was about to begin
With this brand new creation
Filling her with unspeakable joy
Soon she would receive the answer
Whether it was a girl or boy
As she embraced motherhood
And all it did impart
Vowing to give the best to her child
All free gifts from her heart.

There was a time
When I wanted to weep
Staying awake
While others sleep
But, I have found
In the quiet of the night
I see things now
In a different light
I am more in tuned
With my inner self
Finding answers
Where none were left
As I explore my mind
Searching it deep
I find I need
Less and less sleep
What is sleep
But a body`s rest
I find my time
Is when I am blessed
So, now when the clock
Ticks away the night
I am not in darkness
I have the light

Hear them bells
Their golden ring
Echoes in harmony
Now angels sing
Past is present
Blood line true
Seen by many
Recognized by few
Lost in mazes
Created to confuse
Unbalancing the scales
Winners do lose
Shackled by laws
Colored by man
Justice is blind
In foreign land
Where money talks
Green is white
Covering the horror
Done at night
Remove the hobbles
Expose the lies
Dry the tears
From crying eyes

The sharpness of images
Seen in bright sunny light
Can never compete
With the clarity of night
Erasing the glare
Sunshine can blind
Bringing sweet music
To soothe a weary mind
Letting it roam
To times in the past
Savoring a journey
Not meant to last
Because of obstacles
Brought on in the days
Causing a parting
Each going separate ways
Never to meet
On this earth again
Living in memories
Of having a soul friend

Magic In The Air

Mystical, magical
Music in the air
Lifting and carrying
From a state of despair
Filled with emptiness
In a vanilla cloud
Released in melting pleasure
When magic came to care
Blending like ripple ice cream
Two melding into one
Yielding to the power
Which the magic had begun
Introducing a new world
Right here on this earth
Oblivious to the educated
Opened at a mystical birth
Where anything is believable
To all who enter there
Making dreams come true
From the magical air...

A fan is spinning
On the ceiling above
While the air conditioner
Gives it`s cool sounds
Both gentle reminders
Summer is arriving
Bringing warm changes
Of long sunny days
Delightful nights
With a brighter moon
Lighting memories path
To pleasant journeys
In mind`s view
Of wonderful fun-filled days
When love felt true
And time had no power
As the river flowed
The mountains reached the sky
Heart-felt vows were made
Making one sigh
Exchange of promises
With heated breath
Devotion to each other
Until the death
When each would leave
This place called Earth
Shaking off the clay
Receiving a new birth
Released from contention
In mind and heart
United together
Never to part.

Once there was visual beauty
At least in the camera`s eyes
Now features have changed
Truth never lies
As wrinkles and gray appear
In just a little while
Showing time has passed
While keeping a smile
Knowing the pictures
From future, present and past
Express true vision
Forever to last
When memories appear
To one with a camera of love
Always showing beauty
Being thought of
Bringing the images
In the mind`s eye
Photos do change
Faces of love never die
When the movements of life
Slow down as they do
The love in the heart
Will still shine through.

My Puzzle

You are a wonderful puzzle to me
In all I know, In all I see
I write these words
So the world can know
You fill my heart
Leaving your glow
You are a mystery
From which I never tire
Solving your mystery
Is a sweet desire
The answers come
From time to time
The way our lives
Seems to inter twine
You can be so serious
When you need to be
Yet, you show
The child within you to me
Yes, you are a puzzle
I will say to the end
I am so glad
You are my friend.

Accept being a star
To shine after you
Knowing the shine
Is dim compared
To your brightness
You are my sunshine

Captured by minus
Devoid of plus
In darkness
Clothed within a dream

Where all is seen
As lights flash
Colors so bright
Chasing away demons
Crawling in the night
Seeking to invade
Any human kind
Without understanding
Protecting the mind
Giving safety
Ones must endure
Ranting and taunts
Found within the cure
Located so close

Health, wealth and peace

My grandchildren, better yet
They are the main reason
Leaving will be with little regret

Lessons From The Past

When a lesson
From the past
Comes calling
That is when it will
Be noticed
If the lesson taught
Was learned or not
Sometimes history
Repeats it`s self
And it is needed to be taught
Over and over again
Until that lesson is learned
For good
It is my intention
To use my mind
Where it is needed
Taking everything
Into observation
Eliminating confusion
So my soul can lead me
In the direction
I need to go
I need my own growth
I want to be alert

I had never sinned before
Saved by His blood
Now and forever more
I heard the sweet message
Of how it came to be
Jesus shed His blood
So I could be free
Whether you are a murder
Or someone who had lied
It is only through Jesus
You can be justified
Do not ever think
There is some other way to choose
Without the saving blood of Jesus
We would all forever lose
When, you serve the Lord
Your needs will be satisfied
When you accept God`s salvation
Then you will be justified

A building is not a church
Because it is built with a steeple
A building becomes a church
When the church is in the people
A building protects the flesh
From the rain, cold and sun
The church protects the Soul
When each passing day is done
A building may have many members
The church has sisters and brothers
Those in a building think only of themselves
While the church is always caring for others
This Sunday, when you enter a building
And you sit upon a pew
You will know if you are in church
Because, the church will be in you.

You reminded me
Of the full moon last night
I lay there on the bed mesmerized
The room lit by your loving light
When your lips
Brushed against mine
Sweeter was your taste
Than a bottle of fine wine
Your hands reached out
Drawing me within your arms
There I felt so safe
Protected free from any alarm
You kissed me
With your lips so tender
My body yielded
I did surrender
To the love we shared
Until the early break of day
Sharing the sweet words
We both had to say
Letting each other know
Exactly how we feel
We are so blessed to have each other
Resting in a love that is real

For help carrying any load
Understanding that lies
Can cause much grief
Clouding the mind
Destroying past belief

I tell myself
I must not forget
Then I laugh
With some regret
Days and weeks pass
No one comes along
Where are your friends
When you are feeling alone
The children are too busy
With a life of their own
They all work long hours
Too tired to call on the phone
You think of your church
Sitting upon their pew
When the body is unable
Do they still care for you
I miss their fellowship
Much more often these days
I miss the pastors sermons
The choir singing God`s praise
These times are hard
Both at night and day
Please give me strength
To go on, dear Lord, I pray
Help me acknowledge
In all I say or do
Everything I am
Lives only for You.

Through and through
Ever since birth
Living a life of two
What one twin did
Both received the blame
One deed accepted
Another held in shame
Always together
Within the light
Even when emotions
Cause either to fight
Life choices may differ
At a beckoning call
The struggles of existence
Not seen by all
Yes, I am a Gemini
I am letting you see
We are happy
Just being me.

Going Home

Going Home
To all of my family
And the church where I belong
Please do not be sad for me
When the day comes and I am gone
Ever since the day
I received a brand new birth
I knew that my home
Was not found here on this earth
Jesus has gone on
To my Father and He will prepare
An everlasting home for me
And, He will take me there
I am happy I shared in your love
I want you all to know
Now, I am ready
And soon it will be time to go
To My heavenly Father
In the Heavens up above
He is waiting there to greet me
His arms open with love
If you know my Father
And have received His amazing Grace
A new day will come
When we will meet face to face
What a day that will be
We will see God upon His throne
What peace we will know
As we find joy and contentment in our new Home.
Amen

Gone

How well I remember
That warm June night
We stood by the lake
Beneath the shimmering moonlight
We both exchanged vows
Saying we would never part
Now you are gone without a trace
Leaving behind a broken heart.

free to be

circles may fall
like squares at play
landing into puddles
on the road to man do lay
where flowers die
in a strange time
and clocks do not tick
without glasses of wine
giving blissful silence
from all the voices
mocking the senses
creating many choices
watching sunflowers bloom
with yellow and golden brown
surviving in the sunshine
withering in frozen ground
and once upon a time
it will come to be
beneath blue lines
where some may not see
until too late
but, that is okay
enjoy each journey
on the road to man do lay.

Frankly, My Dear

Answers come pouring
With no questions before
The changes began
Behind a closed door
With a loose tongue
In a running mouth
Having no understanding
Customs of the South
Where men walk softly
When women do speak
Knowing wrath may follow
When patience grows weak
Allowing the force
Kept hidden within
Women of the South
Understand their men
Desiring food on the table
A warm body in bed
Paying close attention
To what the woman has said
Realizing that pain
Will come his way
Whenever he ignores
What the woman does say
So listen closely
When offered jelly or jam
Women of the South
Really don`t give a damn

Fall

Watching from a window
The falling of many leaves
Floating gently to the ground
Nudged by a cool Fall breeze
Some limbs are barren
No leaves to be found
On the other branches
Vivid colors of red and brown
Mixed with yellows and orange
Quite a colorful sight
This follage has such beauty
Giving much delight
Realizing it won`t be long
When anyone looks out there
All of this assortment will vanish
The trees will all be bare
Birds are coming to the feeders
To chirp the songs they sing
Reminding all the leaves will return
Early in the next Spring.

Look close at the trees
To see the colorful leaves
Soon they will not be found
Gently floating to the ground
Building a bed on the earth
Nourishing seeds for their birth
Even when the trees are bare
A new life is beginning there.

In school it was taught
We lived in the land of the free
However, I have learned
You have to pay a fee
Every little thing
Has a different price
Whether or not you pay it
Depends on the throw of the dice
Many, Born at the top of the ladder
Able to lick the cream
Holding high paid positions
Treated with great esteem
Always fooling the general public
Making them serve for political pay
Keeping them all in labor
While the rich just have the say
More and more are waking up
And learning how to speak
Letting the ones in power
See, they are neither dumb or weak.

Frozen In Mind

Hard cold rain
Quenched burning fire
Drops of silence
Stole all desire
Making one strong
Leaving any regret
Able to remember
Willing to forget
Mind is encased
Now, in control
What to leave
When to hold
In mind, once
Pure as gold
Grew like ice
Hard and cold.

footprints in the water

turning a head
some fall back
glancing every where
seeking a track
where children frolic
in water at play
with a fire-eating dragon
which will not slay
because of understanding
the read liquid see
footprints in the water
got to be free
from invisible flies
swarming near by
clothed in illusions
naked to an eye
where images can change
footprints in the sand
but hot water tracks are
comfortable to understand

Watching a butterfly
Gliding in the air
Displaying beautiful colors
Roaming every where
Out in the meadows
Where the flowers grow
Rich with sweet nectar
A bountiful flow
As the moon rise follows
The setting of the sun
My footsteps trace yours
When each day is done
You feed my mind
And so much more
Like no one else
I have met before
It is almost like
A brand new birth
As you share the beauty
Here on the earth
Love is the butterfly
Gliding in the air
Love is your footsteps
Showing you care
You are my moon
I am your sun
It is with understanding
We become poetically one.

Emotions
Strong
Swirling deep
Chasing
Robbing
Me of sleep
Churning
Burning
Eyes do weep
Grounding
Pounding
To a heap
Restless
Yearnings
One does meet
Awful
Emotions
Locked in keep

Evening Tide

Evening Tide
The blue shades of darkness
Cascade over the night
Covering the false shadows
Of things giving fright
Causing a mortal body
To ache and sometimes moan
Encased with contradictions
Afflicting flesh and bone
As tiny flickering embers
Slowly fade away
And the vessel grows colder
With each passing day
While the Lord of a soul
Is whispering to come see
The releasing of earthly chains
Setting one spirit free...

Esteem

I save each message
You leave on my phone
To hear your voice
When feeling all alone
This is just one
Of foolish things I do
To give me comfort
When I am missing you...

Soft butterfly kisses
Sweeter than strawberry wine
Deepening with great passion
As two bodies did entwine
Melting into one
It seemed to be true
Heartbeats beating together
Me falling into you
Exchanging solemn vows
Never to be apart
With deep understanding
Written in the heart
Have I told you lately
How much I truly miss
Sounds of butterfly wings
Bringing close your kiss
As I recall past times
Sweeter than wine
When passions were strong
Believing, you were mine...

A basic instinct
Of any primitive animal
Or educated human being
Is a state of survival
By any means
Always careful with actions
Being self-contained
To live another way
Can not always say
There is no surprise
Hidden with lies
And nothing new
From the time of birth
Until reprise comes
Returning to earth
Evolving with changes
Never, the same
While existing each day
Playing life`s game

erased
some matter can disappear
as one world turns blue
needing no more questions
to answers already knew
that time can stand
even lost in space
this is a reality
leaving no trace
as belief in life
becomes a shame
seeking to finish
an illusionary game
suddenly waking up
wearing a new face
releasing much pain
now, in another place.

Dance of the Hummingbird

Dance of the Hummingbird
Hummingbirds dancing
Gracefully in the air
Sipping sweet nectar
Satisfying thirst there
At the bright red feeder
Which catches their eye
Drawing them nearer
So, one can spy
As tiny wings flutter
Showing, purple, blue and green
Which carries them to places
Many eyes have never seen.

Slow Degrees of Evasion
Posted by Maggie | 25 Comments
Throughout most all of the ages
As we turn the telling pages
Humans have been more interested
To spend time studying old history
Instead of valuing a future land
Trying to preserve all we can
Damages have been created
Affecting air, water and land
Making our planet almost unbearable
Destroying all nature and man
Beginning in the first Garden
It really should be no surprise
Creation began with deceit
Unable to cover any more lies
We are all killing our new Garden
Thinking how smart we must be
Slowly the clock in ticking
People are sure to see
Without caring for the earth
There will be no more history
Ignoring lessons from the past
Generations may end with you and me.
