"These are my words the song I sing, not with my voice, it's with words that I bring. A part of my life, some of what I believe, a partial glimpse of the one called me."

Vocal Freedom (OSI)

Looking forward
To hearing her voice
Wondering exactly what
Word would be her choice

She babbled and cooed
While pointing her finger
Leaving silent words
In the air to linger

Repeating mama and daddy
Until my face turned blue
Still my daughter said nothing
No voice came through

Until one summer day
She pointed at a bug
I told her it`s name
And gave her a hug

She called out bug, bug, bug
Just as sweet as could be
I realized at long last
Her voice was set free

Nurturing Friendship

On a bed of red roses
Blue sky above
Nestled in happiness
Spread with love

Beneath this planet
Covered by moon light
Souls touching each other
With pure delight

For all eternity
Bound with caring
Built through years
In seasons of sharing

With depth so deep
From bottom to top
Long as heavens remain
Connections never stop

Growing stronger each day
Ignoring any human fears
Nothing can ever erase
These amazing years

Traveling along paths
Through the good and bad
Comforting each heart
When either is sad

This is friendship
In its purest display
Renewed each spring
Refreshed each day

Enough (OSI)

Now, he wondered
As many times before
Exactly, what happened
Behind the door

She was so beautiful
Eager to please
Before he could turn
He was knocked to his knees

As she screamed out
In a voice never heard
I will cut your throat
If you utter one word

He did not believe
The words she said
The neighbors called
To inform, he was dead

Filling Daze (OSI)

Trips to the dentist
When I was a child
Tortured the mind
Resistance was wild

Arriving at the office
Consumed with dread
Expecting any moment
To drop down dead

Listening to sounds
Of his piercing drill
Certainly did not
Give this one a thrill

As the gum was numbed
And his drill came near
All that was felt
Was misery and fear

Liquid Ice

The funny thing
About hot ice
Is that
It can freeze
Your hands
Or burn them
Hot ice does not melt
It evaporates
As gases into the air
And a person
Would never know
It had ever been there
Most of the time
I am water
But, at times
I go to hot ice
And that
Ain`t nothing nice
