Specters for Magpie Tales #107

all tightly wrapped
in snug cocoon
protection from any
invasion or doom
creating a comfortable
zone to live
no longer valued
having nothing to give
darkness has replaced
warmth of summer sun
searching for relief
unable to run
away from lonliness
existing in room
all tightly wrapped
in self made cocoon
-------For One Single Expression
I think sometimes we create "cocoons" for ourselves to be protected from society, disappointment, and pain. The question becomes how to experience the full richness of life by occasionally stepping from this protected place. A lot of introspection here.
Simply break out!
crumbling walls
Also don't forget to get aboard the Poetry Train on Monday mornings!
Been there- it's a lonely place to be...but cocoons are sometimes needed when we need to go within to emerge stonger and with greater perspective...
I am with Loch Rob. Luckily, those cocoons are not walled fortresses. They can be broken through.
As it is only a cocoon you'll be sure to break out of it and fly!
Already giving and thinking opposite to that.. what's up.. As Gautami said.. just feel free..that's it..
Emotions wonderfully put in words.
I recognize that feeling - cocoons sometimes are unwilling to let us go, even though we wish it so.
