"These are my words the song I sing, not with my voice, it's with words that I bring. A part of my life, some of what I believe, a partial glimpse of the one called me."

Avatar Blues

Living as an avatar
One can never see
A life once lived
Fighting to be free

In a different reality
From eons long ago
Leaving a carcass
Few ever did know

Illusions can destroy
Even though not real
Numbing the ability
To reason or feel

Existing in limbo
Seeking a cure
To live without an avatar
Able to happily endure

Making a new life
Proudly wearing name
Out in the open
Without any shame

Gandhi

He traveled dusty roads
Armed with honesty
Seeking freedom for all
His deeds will live in history

As a man with an aura
Reaching out to large and small
Multitudes hearing his voice
Quickly answered his call

Sick of years of oppression
Where none had a say
Except to exist under rulers
Obeying things their way

The people became inspired
They surrounded this man
Enlightening their life
With a peaceful freedom plan

Like the sap in a maple
Slowly drips about
Rolls the pen to paper
Oozing it out

Into the multitudes
Wandering here and there
Using man-made technology
Trying to find ones to care

With an ability to act
Quicker than a blink
Exposing the illusions
To those who do think

Beyond the theories
In educational schools
Absorbing the revelations
From ones called fools

Crazy as a fox
Disguised like a tree
Moving in a forest
Laughing with glee

Visible as the wind
Seen in a breeze
So very serious
Loving to tease

Sowing new seeds
Both high and low
Fermentation comes slowly
This some may know

While living in a forest
Laughing with glee
Crazy like a fox
Disguised like a tree

Revival

With a whispering murmur
Gliding among bare trees
Winter branches welcome
Warmth of gentle breeze

Beckoning the daffodils
To rise from the ground
With a sea of yellow
Spreading beauty around

Past dark winter days
Filling many with delight
As Mother Nature prepares
A bed for Winter`s flight

Opening with her bounty
As she does each year
Mother Nature is announcing
Spring is finally here.

Hesitation

Posted by Maggie | 1 Comment

It was only a moment
A tiny little space
Yet, she saw hesitation
Visit his face

As they stood in the chapel
On their wedding day
It left her wondering
What would he say

When the preacher read their vows
Before binding them man and wife
Pledging love and devotion
For the rest of their life

A few seconds passed
The expression was gone
As he reached for her hand
With eyes for her alone

Letting her know completely
At this brand new life start
They were both ready for marriage
Vowing with a loving heart

About Me

My Photo
I was, I am, and I will be. I live in a state of confusion called Georgia by some people. Humor is my cup of tea and I do so enjoy sharing it with friends.
