Lonely no more
Zapped brain
Hardly like before
Enjoying peace

Missing no one
Each memory left

This can apply even if one is not suffering from Alzheimer.
One of my fears, Maggie. Your acrostic tells it like it is.
The fear of most of us in our older days is dementia and worse yet, Alzheimer's. Brrr.
